On the nose, it reveals aromas of green apple and pear, along with subtle hints of lemon and a slight vanilla nuance due to its barrel aging. About Domaine Guiberteau Saumur Blanc Brézé

Domaine Guiberteau Saumur Blanc Brézé is an organic, wood-aged white wine made by Domaine Guiberteau with the Chenin Blanc variety in the AOC Saumur-Champigny, in the Loire (France). 
 
Domaine Guiberteau is one of today’s great wineries in the heart of the Loire Valley. The man behind it, Romain Guiberteau, has been managing the 17 hectares of family vineyards spread across the municipalities of Bizay, Brézé, Chacé, Montreuil Bellay and Saint-Just-sur-Dive since 1996, and has set up his own ecological and minimal intervention project.
 
Domaine Guiberteau Saumur Blanc Brézé comes from vines planted on calcareous clay soils and certified as organic since 2003. No synthetic products are used, instead opting for products made with sulphur, copper and plants. The harvest is carried out manually at the optimum point of ripeness.  
 
In the winery, the Domaine Guiberteau Saumur Blanc Brézé grapes are pressed in whole clusters and the resulting must ferments spontaneously with native yeasts and no temperature control. The wine is then aged in French oak barrels for 18 months and is finally bottled without clarification or filtering and with the minimum required sulphur.  
 
Created by a winemaker with expertise in reviving the Chenin variety in Brézé, Domaine Guiberteau Saumur Blanc Brézé is a concentrated, flavoursome and vibrant white wine.

2016 Domaine Guiberteau Saumur Blanc Brézé 2016 has an expressive nose of yellow fruit, floral notes and mineral hints. On the palate it is lively, fruity and powerful. A complex wine with marked acidity and a spicy finish.
